About this tool

Page size is stored per page in a PDF, so a document exported from slides or a photo tool often prints with unexpected margins. Rescaling to a standard size makes printing predictable and keeps mixed-size documents consistent.

Content is scaled by the smaller of the two fit factors and centred, so nothing is cropped or distorted; the margin you set is applied on all four sides. Text stays vector text — this is a geometric change, not a re-render.

Frequently asked questions

Will the file get smaller in bytes?
Usually not much. This changes page geometry, not image compression — use the PDF compressor for file size.
What happens to a landscape page in a portrait target?
It is scaled to fit the width and centred vertically. Choose landscape orientation if you would rather use the full sheet.
Are links and text preserved?
Text and vector content are preserved and stay selectable. Annotations that were tied to old coordinates may shift.
