About this tool
Wide margins waste screen space on tablets and e-readers and make scanned pages look small. Cropping sets each page's visible box to the area you keep, so viewers and printers show only that region. The content itself is not deleted, which keeps the operation fast and reversible with a PDF editor.
Margins can be entered in millimetres for exact print work or as a percentage that scales with mixed page sizes. The tool applies the same margins to every page in the range you choose; pages of different sizes are each trimmed relative to their own edges.
Frequently asked questions
- Does cropping reduce the file size?
- Usually not, because the hidden content is still stored. Use Compress PDF afterwards if size matters.
- Can I crop only one page?
- Yes. Enter that page number in the Pages field, e.g. 3.
- Will the cropped area still print?
- Printers respect the crop box, so only the kept area prints, centred on the paper.
