About this tool
Extracting pages is the counterpart of deleting them: you name what to keep. It is the fastest way to share a single chapter, send only the signed page of a contract, or pull a table out of a long report. The selection can be any mix of single pages and ranges; duplicates are ignored and pages are output in ascending order.
Everything happens locally with the pdf-lib library. The kept pages retain their text, fonts, images, links and form fields; the new file is usually much smaller than the original because unused resources are left out.
Frequently asked questions
- How is this different from Split PDF?
- Split PDF cuts the document into several files (every N pages or one per page). Extract makes exactly one new file from the pages you list.
- Can I reorder pages?
- Pages are extracted in their original order. Use Rotate PDF, which also reorders and deletes pages, if you need a custom order.
- Is there a page limit?
- No. Files with hundreds of pages process in seconds on a normal laptop.
