About this tool

Extracting pages is the counterpart of deleting them: you name what to keep. It is the fastest way to share a single chapter, send only the signed page of a contract, or pull a table out of a long report. The selection can be any mix of single pages and ranges; duplicates are ignored and pages are output in ascending order.

Everything happens locally with the pdf-lib library. The kept pages retain their text, fonts, images, links and form fields; the new file is usually much smaller than the original because unused resources are left out.

Frequently asked questions

How is this different from Split PDF?
Split PDF cuts the document into several files (every N pages or one per page). Extract makes exactly one new file from the pages you list.
Can I reorder pages?
Pages are extracted in their original order. Use Rotate PDF, which also reorders and deletes pages, if you need a custom order.
Is there a page limit?
No. Files with hundreds of pages process in seconds on a normal laptop.
