About this tool
Scanned contracts often include blank pages, reports carry cover sheets you do not need, and forms have instruction pages that are irrelevant once filled in. Deleting pages produces a smaller, cleaner document without opening a desktop editor.
Page numbers refer to the position in the file, not the printed numbers. Ranges like 3-6 delete several at once, and an open range like 10- removes everything from page 10 to the end. At least one page must remain. Text, links and form fields on the kept pages are preserved exactly.
Frequently asked questions
- Can I delete every other page?
- List them explicitly, e.g. 2, 4, 6, 8. For very long documents, extracting the odd pages with the Extract Pages tool is quicker.
- Does it work on password-protected PDFs?
- Unlock the file first with the Unlock PDF tool, then delete pages.
- Will bookmarks be kept?
- Page content, links and forms are kept. Bookmarks that point to deleted pages are dropped.
