Merge PDF
Add your PDFs, put them in order with the arrows, and download one merged file. The documents never leave your computer, so contracts and scans stay private.
Add two or more PDF files to combine them.
About this tool
Merging copies every page of each source file into a new document, keeping the original page sizes, fonts, images and links. Bookmarks and form fields are not carried over, which is the same behaviour as most desktop tools. Files are added in the order they appear in the list; use the arrows to move them.
Because the work is done by your browser, there is no upload time and no server queue: a hundred pages merge in well under a second. Password-protected files are skipped with a note; remove the password with the unlock tool first if you know it.
Frequently asked questions
- Is there a file size or page limit?
- No fixed limit. Very large scans depend on your device's memory; a few hundred megabytes is usually fine on a laptop.
- Are my files uploaded to a server?
- No. Everything runs in your browser with the pdf-lib library. You can disconnect from the internet after the page has loaded.
- Can I change the order of the files?
- Yes. Use the up and down arrows next to each file. The merged PDF follows the list from top to bottom.
- Why was a file skipped?
- It is either password protected or not a valid PDF. Unlock protected files first, or re-export damaged ones from the original application.
