About this tool
Watermarks mark a document's status or ownership without hiding its content: DRAFT on documents under review, CONFIDENTIAL on internal material, a name or licence number on shared copies. A diagonal, semi-transparent stamp in the middle of the page is the most common style; the tiled layout repeats it across the page so it cannot be cropped out.
The text is rendered with your device's fonts, so any language and alphabet works, including Turkish, accents and non-Latin scripts. It is embedded as a transparent image at four times the display resolution, which keeps it crisp when printed. The stamp becomes part of the page content and stays in place in every viewer.

- Can I use a colour other than red?
- Yes. Pick any colour; grey at 20–30% opacity is a discreet choice for drafts.
- Can the watermark be removed later?
- It is drawn into each page as an image, so ordinary viewers cannot remove it. A determined editor can, so it is a deterrent rather than a security measure.
- Does it work with non-Latin text?
- Yes. The text is rendered with the fonts on your device, so Arabic, Cyrillic, Chinese and any other script are supported.
- Is the PDF uploaded?
